Four Seasons Aviara Residence Club is situated among the rolling valleys of the Batiquitos Lagoon which is a wildlife sanctuary. The guest service is wonderful and simply a reflection of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. There family activities include a variety of swimming pools, tennis courts, croquet, horseshoes, bocci ball and badminton. Golfers would most certainly appreciate the championship Arnold Palmer golf course. As a guest in the Four Seasons Aviara, guests can relax in two or three bedroom villas with a fireplace, full kitchen and private balconies. The fitness center and spa in the Hotel are wonderful as well and are available to guests that are staying in the resort.

Paon Restaurant Wine & Bar — Paon offers Californian and French restaurant cuisine. Their menu features local organic produce which enhances the flavors combined with the French and Californian style chefs. It is pretty expensive so don't plan to eat there every night. The atmosphere is very relaxing and their staff is very attentive and informed on every little detail.
Bistro West — Bistro West is a very good choice to stop for lunch and reasonably priced that caters to American / Californian cuisine. If you have any other questions for good places to eat don't forget to ask the concierge at the resort for recommendations.
Lego Land — Lego Land is great if you have younger children (ages 5 - 8). If you decide to visit Lego Land don't forget to take your AAA card for a possible discount at the ticket window. There can also be discounts if you purchase your tickets online, not to mention avoiding the lines if you do. For more information be sure to visit http://california.legoland.com.
Carlsbad Lagoon — A great place to rent jet skis or go water skiing. You can also rent kayaks, canoes, water bicycles and paddle boards.
Flower Fields — Be sure to check their website for current events and whether the flowers are in bloom. http://www.theflowerfields.com. If your wife loves flowers then definitely try and surprise her with a visit to the flower fields. Be sure to take your camera or even a packed lunch while enjoying the scenery. The flowers are beautiful from the road too, but it can be a different experience to be up close and take pictures. Also, if you are an AAA member, there might be a discount.
Batiquitos Lagoon — This is one of our favorite places to go for a morning walk especially on a beautiful day. There are many different kinds of wildlife. It is fun to just walk or run on the dirt trail which is a little more than a mile. There are benches if you need to just sit and take all the sounds and smells in.
